So Happy Together

Wednesday, February 11, 2009

When good-quality chocolate is paired with salt, it's hard to beat the blend of sweet and savory. We found these combinations enticing, intriguing, seductive -- and just the ticket for Valentine's Day.

Austrian roasted pumpkin seed oil with Maldon salt bonbon. Layers of flavor unfold from the first hit of salt on the tongue (the salt is sprinkled only on the bottom of the bonbon) to the mellow, earthy pumpkin oil that infuses the ganache filling.

Sixteen pieces for $36; available as part of an assorted box from Restaurant Guys Chocolate; http://www.restaurantguyschocolate.com.
